13-190) Lladro Daisa 5327 nippon Lady Retired Picture(s) and Description:
13-190) LLADRO DAISA #5327 ~NIPPON LADY~ RETIRED! 13-190) LLADRO DAISA #5327 ~NIPPON LADY~ RETIRED! Here's another item I discovered at an estate sale recently. Isn't she beautiful.
Lladro #: 5327 Entitled: "Nippon Lady" Spanish Name: Japonesa Serenidad Finish: Glazed Made in: Spain (Daisa is the name of the Lladro company which holds the intellectual property rights for the figurines.) Issued: 1985 Retired: 2000 Current Market Price: $ 795 Sculptor: Salvador Debon Height: 9.00 " Condition: Excellent Coloring: Subtle Imperfection(s): No cracks, chips or crazing noticeable. This item has been repaired. The flower growing from the pot has been repaired at the stem (see photo). Every one of these same figures that I have seen at auction has been broken in the exact same place. It is such a tall/heavy item for the narrow stem. I will take special precautions to surround this area with special tubing so nothing will touch it in transit and cause the break to reoccur. The box is not available for this item.
The Lladro company was formally incorporated in the year 1953. By 1955, the three brothers, Juan, Jose, and Vicente, had established their own retail shop in Valencia, where they sold some of their earliest wares.
The "foundations were laid" for the present Lladro factory in 1958 -- and all Lladro sources are careful to repeat this precise phrasing. It is, therefore, unlikely that the factory was fully operational much before the early to mid-1960s. Lladro began exporting figurines shortly after the factory came into full production.
Lladro refers to its basic collection of figurines as its "core collection." At almost 4,000 pieces, the sheer magnitude of the core collection is astonishing. Each year, in spring and fall, the company introduces new figures and retires several others to make room for the new issues in company inventory.
Payment must be made within one week (7 days) of the auction end date or item will be relisted. I accept PayPal for all transactions. I will combine payments on multiple items. Just let me know that you are bidding on another item(s) and I will hold your invoice until you are finished bidding.
I will gladly combine items to save on shipping fees, as long as doing so would not cause possible harm to the item. Insurance is required for all breakable items.
Most of my items are from estate sales and are sold as found. Since they are not new, there will probably be some normal wear noted on the item. I will attempt to point out and photograph any unusual wear, damage, discolorations, etc., if noticed. If you have any questions about an item, please be sure to ask me before bidding. Every effort will be made to accurately describe and photograph each item. So, if you notice something that should be brought to my attention, please contact me directly via eBay email to discuss. I will make any revisions to the auction, if needed. I truly welcome all additional information about an item that I can learn about so that my descriptions are as accurate as possible. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with an item, please contact me within 2 days after receipt (via eBay email) to discuss. We can work it out -- no matter what the issue! I will gladly refund your purchase price after the item is returned to me in the same condition that it was shipped. Buyer shall pay all postage for returned items.
