Lladro Opening Night Ballerina Figurine #5920 Picture(s) and Description:

Here is a wonderful Lladro Porcelain Ballerina Figurine entitled Opening Night. She is a very pretty young girl sitting on a stool with her arms crossed over her knee. She is dressed as a ballerina in a purple top and white skirt trimmed in lace. Her ballet shoes are a very light pinky brown. The details on this piece are excellent from all of the gentle pleats in her skirt, the tiny white flowers in her hair, to even the laces on her ballet shoes. She was originally issued in 1988 and is part of their Ballet Collection. She is 5 3/4" tall by 4" wide by 5 1/4" deep. On the bottom is the Blue Lladro Hallmark, Hand Made in Spain, Daisa. The date is there, but the etched number 5498 goes over it so it's really hard to read. There are also some other numbers and initials that I can't quite make out. I checked the Lladro website and in mint condition the current retail price is $415.00 She is not quite in mint condition as there are 3 tiny spots where the lace is missing. I'm really picky so I want to make sure I describe these in detail. They really are very small and could easily be missed if you aren't looking for them. The first 2 spots are in picture #8 and the 3rd in #9. The largest is on the side where the top of the lace is still there but a piece about 5/8" wide by 1/4" is missing. The second spot is at the top of the picture and is very small about 1/8" by 1/8". The 3rd spot is about 1/4" by 3/8" and is really sort of hidden under the ruffle of the other lace. The rest of the piece is in excellent condition with no other chips, cracks or scratches of any kind and has never been repaired. I do have the original Lladro box but it's a bit worn especially where the tape was originally attached. I prefer to use Priority Mail with tracking, but with the increase in postal rate, I've added the Parcel Post rate with tracking so that you can chose the service you want. Please remember the Post Office doesn't guarantee the delivery date for Parcel Post. Also, I do combine shipping whenever possible to help save you money. International buyers, Paypal is required for purchase. Also, international shipping rates have gone up again, so please check with me for a shipping quote first.
